  1. We've been busy. Since the v2.27.0 form-builder release, VowProof has gained a faster lead-to-payment flow, Etsy orders, clearer client documents, envelope and consultation polish, and a pile of reliability fixes. Here are the highlights. Leads, proposals & getting paid - New proposal recipients stay in your lead pipeline. Write a proposal for someone who isn't a project yet and they default to "Keep as lead until accepted" — they sit in the Proposal Sent stage and move to Projects automatically when they sign. (You can still create a project right away or link an existing client.) - Merge a duplicate lead into the right project. When two people from the same wedding inquire separately, open the duplicate and use Attach to Existing Project — VowProof moves their intake (forms, consultations, email threads, questionnaires) onto the project you keep, archives the duplicate, and leaves all money records untouched. Nothing is deleted. - No more accidental duplicate client records. When the same client arrives by more than one path (form, consultation, signed proposal), VowProof keeps them in a single project — and if an email already matches more than one project, it asks you to pick rather than guessing. - Record any payment amount, including partial. The Record Payment box is editable as soon as it opens (pre-filled with the balance, with a Use remaining balance shortcut). On a work order's invoice, "Mark as Paid" is now Record Payment. - Undo a refund you recorded by accident, and reopen a closed invoice. Every refund line now has an Undo button, and paid/refunded/cancelled/voided invoices show Reopen Invoice — both keep your records intact. (Bookkeeping only; a real Stripe/check refund is still handled there.) - Add a note to your client, separate from the item's spec. A proposal line now has both a Description / spec field and a separate Note to client, so you can keep "5x7 | Digital | 80lb" and add a recommendation. Your note shows on the proposal, the printable summary, and the proof page. Emails that point where you expect - A link in a regular email stays a plain link. General and template emails no longer turn a link into a surprise "Your Proposal" button that could point at the wrong document — branded proposal buttons appear only when you intentionally send a proposal. - Email a proposal you already shared by link. Used Send via Link? The proposal page now has a Send Email button so you can send the official email afterward (same link, no new version, follow-ups back on). - Insert a link to a specific proposal, proof, or invoice. When you write a project email, the Insert Field menu now has a "This project's documents" section — pick the exact document and it drops a clean, clickable button. Handy when a client has more than one proposal. - Automated emails link the right proposal. Workflow and template emails now use your signed proposal (or the newest), so an automation can't point a client at an old draft. - Uploaded files show their real names. When a client uploads files on a lead form or consultation booking, your notification email and the consultation details now show the actual file names instead of raw upload data — click to download as before. Forms & questionnaires - Emphasize a single word in a question label. Bold, italicize, underline, or color individual words inside a label — not just the whole thing ("Please choose one"). - A heads-up when an email code won't work. Type a smart-field code that isn't real (a typo, or a stray space inside {{ client_name }}) and VowProof shows a small note so you can fix it before sending. It warns; it won't block you. Envelopes & guest lists - Envelope proof appearance controls. Set envelope background color, text color, and an optional flap-shape guide (Euro and Straight flap listed first) — carried through previews and PDF exports. Print shops can also get CMYK values and an omit-background download. - International addresses wrap the way the post office expects. Canadian, UK, and other international addresses put the postal code on its own line; US and Australian addresses keep their one-line format. - Bulk guest-list cleanup. Select multiple households and Edit selected, Delete selected, or Delete all — built for the "client sent a corrected address sheet" case. - Hide the Guest List if you don't use it. A switch under Settings → Project Defaults hides the Guest List everywhere — for engraving, signage, awards, and other non-wedding work. Off by default. Consultations & booking - Clearer consultation times. If a client books from a different time zone, your dashboard shows the appointment in your time and notes the client's time, and the reminder shows the client their own time — all clearly labeled. - Your booking page shows times in the right zone. Each available slot shows your business time zone (e.g. "9:00 AM EDT") with the visitor's own local time beneath it, so out-of-town clients book your real availability. E-commerce & affiliates - Etsy orders now flow into VowProof. Connect your Etsy shop and paid orders create a project, work order, and invoice automatically — and Etsy Compliance Mode keeps everything Etsy requires: no payment screens or invoices for the buyer (all money stays on Etsy), no payment-reminder emails, and a short note on every Etsy proof. You use VowProof for proofs, approvals, personalization, and production. - Apply to become an affiliate. A public Become an Affiliate page (linked from the homepage footer) lets designers and educators apply; review them under Admin → Affiliates → Applications. Behind the scenes - Automated emails never show a stray {{code}} — they send cleanly with it removed. - Your connected Gmail / Microsoft 365 inbox syncs more often, and the sync was hardened so a very large batch of new messages can't time it out. - Contracts imported from other tools no longer leak raw template codes to clients. - A top-to-bottom accuracy pass on the in-app Help articles. Coming soon: a calmer home for Tutorials, Help & What's New Heads up — we're tidying up where you find help and updates. This "What's New" banner will be going away, and Tutorials, Help & FAQ, Training Videos, and Release Notes are moving into one calm, always-there place: a new Resources section under Settings. Nothing's changing today — we just wanted you to know where to look next, so updates are easy to find without a banner getting in your way.
